These food carts were scattered all over Rome, and very handy for buying cold water. The bottles had been frozen and sit out slowly melting throughout the day.

St. Peter's Backside

That's St Peter's Basilica Dome hiding in the trees, as seen from the back/side. This was taken from one of the windows in the Vatican's Painting Gallery (Pinacoteca). Having the windows open inside a painting gallery was very interesting, compared to the environmentally controlled galleries you see at many museums. The Vatican's "open door policy" adds quite a lot to the experience. Great works of art, a nice summer day, and birds chirping in the background
